The GNOME and KDE communities are excited in their joint interest in co-hosting the Linux App Summit (LAS) this year, and are currently looking for locations for an event that is hosted sometime in September – December 2019.

The Linux App Summit is an evolution of the Libre Application Summit that was previously hosted by GNOME. The updated name reflects an interest in building new partnerships to create applications that target Linux desktops. By co-hosting the conference with KDE, GNOME hopes to create a space for more widespread collaboration and working towards a common goal: expanding the Linux application ecosystem.

If you would be interested in hosting LAS 2019, please send an email to appsummit@lists.freedesktop.org by May 15th with the potential location. This will allow the organizing committee to establish contact with you and lend assistance as you put together a bid later on.

For more information and relevant deadlines, please check out the LAS/Linux App Summit website: http://linuxappsummit.org/cfl/

We look forward to hearing from you!
